SSBTi/Nanozeo, together with LnData and Taiwanese software companies in Vietnam, announced the proposal of a new three-in-one solution "LCA Data Platform" for the basic functions of footprint coefficient query required for Scope 3 (i.e. supply chain data). The platform is proposed by international supply chains such as CJCHT (a supplier for Walmart and Target), and cooperates with supply chain's SBTi (i.e. SSBTi.org) to build the world's first basic database service platform for supply chain with the world. Several system vendors have been involved in the development and release of a number of Scope 3 tools and platforms (ERP based or SaaS based) that combine carbon inventory to check carbon footprint.
Data collection and database co-construction of enterprises and supply chains
The first step of this initiative is to start providing "ecosystem services" for carbon footprint factor/coefficient databases in various industries, combining (1) the world's two most suitable carbon footprint database systems (CLCD and ecoinvent) in Asia, with professional training and engineering support for multiple carbon footprint LCA software tools (SimaPro/eFootprint), to obtain legal authorization and multiple purchase methods, and (2) through a professional training and consulting team across software platforms and multiple databases (details). (https://tff.org.tw/article/691) The system provides the consulting and upstream and downstream verification and delivery functions required for supply chain management, and can obtain the most complete carbon footprint LCA coefficient query and construction across
eFootprint is one of the LCA leading softwares
After 30 years of development, the life cycle basic database has finally entered the level of international standards and national participation, coupled with the complexity and professionalism of the EU's carbon footprint professional requirements, docking with the international standard basic database, for our standards, certification, and service organizations, all need to be systematically re-learned. This is also the primary task of SSBTI in cooperation with the research team of National Taiwan University and Mingxin University of Science and Technology. It is expected that there will be a new LCA professional multi-platform tool training in July, and everyone is welcome to participate.
